Welcome to the Women in Health Network!

Thriving through connection and collaboration

Who we are

The Women in Health Network (WiHN) is an organisation dedicated to bringing South Asian women health professionals together from across Australia to connect, collaborate and thrive.

Together, we are building a strong, inclusive community determined to uplift South Asian women and drive positive change in Australian health care – both within our communities and across the country.

Our mission

Our mission photo on home page .webp

Founded in 2024, the Women in Health Network was formed to create a space for women working in the medical field to come together and support one another, grow together and educate our communities.

Our multi-disciplinary membership body welcomes all health professionals who join us from many different walks of life. We’re not just doctors and nurses: we welcome psychologists, pathologists, dentists, physiotherapists and many more roles into our ranks.

By embracing a wide variety of medical fields in our community, we can reach more people and build a comprehensive network of support for our members and their communities.

Core values

Our work is defined by a set of values, which we incorporate at every level.

What to expect

When you join WiHN, you’re joining a community of like-minded individuals who support one another while changing the conversation around health in the community.

We regularly hold events for our members that are a mix of educational and entertaining. Our past events have included conversations about stem cell donation and obesity, but we’ve also had fun at retreats or in pottery classes.

Most of all, you’ll find that we’re highly dedicated to creating a stronger, more interconnected healthcare system in Australia by connecting as women working inside it.

Registering for a membership with WiHN is your chance to join a community of like-minded peers.
